Barcelona are watching Las Palmas striker Jonathan Viera.
Estadio Deportivo says while Valencia are in advanced talks for Viera, they now face competition from Barcelona.
Barca are keeping close tabs on Viera this season and are ready to make a move.
The reigning La Liga champs haven't been averse to dipping into the lower leagues, having snapped up Kiko Femenía last summer.
