Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was offered to Barcelona over the summer.

Catalunya Radio says Barca were contacted by Lloris' agents while he was preparing to leave Lyon, but chose to give the approach short shrift.

It would have meant Barca demoting Victor Valdes and they had no interest in hurting their No1's confidence.

Lloris eventually joined Spurs in the final days of the summer market.
