Barcelona raiding local rivals Espanyol for three youngsters

Barcelona are aiming to raid Espanyol's academy for several youngsters this summer.

Mundo Deportivo says top of their shopping list is Espanyol B captain Ferran Jutglà, a 22 year-old winger. Off contract next month, Jutglà is in advanced talks with Barca and is expected to sign with the Blaugrana and be registered with the B team. Jutglà had a loan spell with San Andreu before returning to Espanyol and helping drive the B team these past two seasons.

Meanwhile, Espanyol U16 pair Carlos Aleman, a fullback, and attacking midfielder Miguel Carvalho are also under consideration.

Both youngsters are keen to make the move to Barca, having recently changed agents to give their career a kick-along. Aleman has just signed with agent Rodrigo Messi, the brother of Barca captain Lionel Messi. Brazilian teen Carvalho is now on the books of Jorge Mendes.

And both young prospects are the subject of intense interest from Barca, where they would join the club's youth team with the promise of a chance with the B side next season should they impress.
