Barcelona are prioritising a deal for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

Sport says Barcelona will do everything possible to sign Neves in the coming weeks. That's what the club told Jorge Mendes in Wednesday's meeting, the midfielder's agent.

Barça have made the Wolverhampton Wanderers player their absolute priority. They want to bring in competition for Sergio Busquets next season.

Mendes will mediate and the options to sign Bernardo Silva and Rafa Leao are currently parked due to Barça's difficult financial situation.

Xavi Hernandez has been clear he wants two players for each position and Busquets currently has no backup, with Neves chosen as not only competition but a potential long-term replacement.
