Barcelona president Sandro Rosell says the club will stand by coach Tito Vilanova.
It's been confirmed Vilanova faces new cancer surgery.
"The most important thing is that he recovers and that he has the necessary tranquility to undergo this [healing] process. Tito is strong, very strong. He's shown that he's strong and we're convinced that he'll be back with us soon," said Rosell.
"I liked seeing his face. He looked strong. He has extraordinary mental strength, he only looked worried for his wife, children and parents.
"We found out on Tuesday and we didn't know the exact diagnosis until this Wednesday afternoon. We wanted to wait until after Tito Vilanova had explained the situation to the team."
