Barcelona president Laporta says shopping not over: Johan would like Lewandowski

Barcelona president Joan Laporta admits their shopping is far from over after signing Robert Lewandowski.

Laporta says the former Bayern Munich striker would have been a favourite of Johan Cruyff's.

He said, “I think Johan would like this striker. He is a goalscorer, unlike others we have had. In addition, with Dembélé, Raphinha, Ferran Torres, who for me is a player who has a goal and has a lot of projection, all of them and Ansu, Aubameyang, and Abde, who if we do well, who is progressing very well, we have a forward with guarantees to put on a show and score goals.

“Now we are going to work on defence. Xavi has us oriented with a series of players and I hope that the Catalans have new joys, because the Catalans like Lewandowski.

"My dream is for Barça to become a world reference again and we are working for it. If the economy does not recover, it is very difficult. We are achieving it, but we have to work even more. Football does not wait. You have to do it now. With Dembélé, Raphinha, Lewandowski, Kessié, Auba, Ferran... I think Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff are doing a good job."
