Barcelona president Joan Laporta insists he has no problem with statements from Samuel Eto'o about his future at the club.
Eto'o has given several interviews about his commitment to Barca and his love of former club, Real Mallorca.
Asked about the Cameroon striker, Laporta said: "Eto'o is a maverick and he has the quality that few have. He must be respected.
"He has contract until 2010 and of course we want him here as a scorer, the best striker at the moment. Much depends on what he wants, because we only want players committed to the club and who really want to be here."
