Barcelona president Joan Laporta has shrugged off reports of the club being upset with the aggressive stand of Victor Valdes' agent in new contract talks.

Gines Carvajal has gone public over Valdes' frustration with the lack of progress over new contract negotiations, but Laporta says: "The agent of the goalie Valdes has asked for a contract adjustment for his client.

"I think he wants to stay with us and we will consider an adjustment to his deal to make this happen."
