Barcelona president Joan Laporta is ready to tempt Arsenal with a massive bid for Cesc Fabregas. The Sun says Laporta is ready to offer around £45million to tempt Arsenal into selling their captain.

Laporta said: "I would very much like to see Cesc wearing the shirt of Barcelona.

"He was formed in our academy and it's certain he'd adapt to our system.

"We already have the best midfield in the world but you can always get better."

Fabregas has a contract to 2014 but has hinted he could move to Barcelona or Real Madrid this summer.

Arsenal can expect a bidding frenzy between Spain's two biggest clubs.
