Barcelona are ready to push through a deal for Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi.

AS says Barcelona are moving for De Zerbi this summer.

President Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco agree that De Zerbi is the right man for Barcelona.

De Zerbi's representatives Edmundo Kabchi and Edoardo Crnjar met with Deco on Wednesday. The meeting was partly about the coach, but also Barcelona's centre-back Ronald Araújo .

Barcelona feel that De Zerbi has the right DNA to replace Xavi. The big problem is his buyout clause in Brighton, which is around €10 million.

Barcelona also appreciates that De Zerbi has no problem investing in young players, which is important for the club.

AS further reports Barcelona has currently scaled down the list of coaches to two names: De Zerbi and Hans-Dieter Flick .
