Barcelona are opening new contract talks with Angel Alarcon.

The striker made his debut in last night's 5-0 Copa del Rey win at Cueta. He was a second-half substitute.

Barca coach Xavi wanted to reward the youngster for his fine form with Barca Atletic.

Alarcon's current deal expires in 2023 and Mundo Deportivo says Barca are set to offer new terms.

He signed for Barça in 2018 from Espanyol.
