Barcelona midfielder Pedri has broken his silence after another injury suffered in Sunday's 0-0 draw at Athletic Bilbao.

Pedri was forced with a thigh injury - a third setback just this season.

He posted to social media: "It is difficult to stop and start again after all the effort made in the last period. But have no doubt that the tears of yesterday's sadness will soon return to being tears of happiness."

The former La Palmas starlet also thanked everyone for the support he's received: "It is impossible not to be moved by all the love that has been sent to me in the last few hours.

"For you fans, for the staff, for all those around me and for myself, now we need to look ahead. We still have many joys to share."
