Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets admits they were pushed hard by Athletic Bilbao for their 2-0 win at San Mames.

Busquets says Barca were made to "suffer" on the day.

"It cost us a lot," he said to Movistar+.

"Especially in the second half because in the first we were better.

"They risked more after the break which helped them to have chances but we've won in a very difficult stadium."

Marc-Andre ter Stegen was outstanding for the visitors at a ground where he had one of his worst games a couple of years ago.

"The victory is his," Busquets continued.

"He was key to the win and we are happy to have him with us."
