Barcelona are ready give up their pursuit of Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

Barca coach Xavi is a big fan of Azpilicueta and has pushed president Joan Laporta to bring him to Cataluyna this summer.

With his contract running down, it was confirmed by Blues manager Thomas Tuchel last week that a 12 month option had been triggered in Azpilicueta's deal.

And Sport says there's now an acceptance inside Barca that Azpilicueta will remain in London.

Indeed, it's been suggested "with certainty" amongst Barca officials that the Spain international won't be leaving Chelsea this summer.
