Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes hopes coach Pep Guardiola soon pens his new contract.

Guardiola's current deal expires in June.

"With Guardiola, Barca have improved each year and, in general, each season the team played better than before," said Valdes.

"There is a before and after in the history of FC Barcelona since the arrival of Guardiola, and I hope he continues here many more years."
