Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen admits Gerard Pique's suspension is a blow.

The defender will miss the opening four games of the new season after being sent off in the Super Cup on Monday.

"He is an important player for us and we will miss him but we will try to do our best without him," said Ter Stegen.

The German is unsure if he will get a chance in the Liga this term.

"To play in the league would be very nice but I don't know if I will. That is a decision for the coach, at the moment it is my job to train and work hard."
