The Mirror says Allardyce is on red alert after Barcelona put former Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen up for sale for £6m.

Barca sporting director Txiki Begirstain admits Gudjohnsen could leave after the club's spending spree which has seen Thierry Henry brought in. Gudjohnsen has a contract until 2010 and does not want to leave Barcelona but may be given little choice.
