Barcelona have made it clear that they will not put in any offers for Arsenal captain Robin van Persie this summer.
The Dutch striker has been linked with the Catalan giants for a few months now, with the speculation growing when he met the Barca team at a London hotel prior to last week's Champions League clash with Chelsea, but club spokesman Toni Freixa has insisted that they will not try to lure the Gunners ace to the Nou Camp in the next transfer window.
"He came to our hotel in London because he is Dutch and so is Ibrahim Afellay. They had a coffee together. He didn't come to see us and there was no conversation.""For Barca, any good player is of interest - and van Persie is a great player. But [we have] no intention of signing him for now," Freixa told TALKsport.
