Barcelona fullback Jordi Alba insists the players haven't given their consent to playing Girona in Miami this month.
Barça spokesman Josep Vives stated earlier in the week that the senior squad had been consulted over the idea of playing the week 21 fixture in Miami and had given their approval for the game to be staged there but Alba denied any knowledge of the affair when speaking to reporters.
“The Girona-Barcelona game is a decision that the club has to make," the left back said.
“Nobody has spoken to me, I don't know if they have spoken to the captains. Would I like the game to be played there? It's a long journey and Girona fans would prefer it to be played at their stadium but at the end of the day there's not much the players can do about it anyway."
