Barcelona defender Gerard Pique admits they can't afford to lose to Real Madrid.

Pique said the Clasico on Saturday “is more important for us than for Real Madrid because they have the luxury of losing and we don't" and reiterated that if Barcelona lose “things become more complicated for us".

He was one of the most self-critical Barcelona players after the draw with Real Sociedad.

“It was not a good day, things did not go well, but one point is not that bad news," said Pique.

“But on Saturday we have a very important game. We have time to reflect and we know that if we win on Saturday then things will be seen in a very different way, although the game is more important for us. They have the luxury of being able to lose and we don't, if we lose, things become more complicated for us."
