Barcelona defender Araujo: Thank God for the kids - the club can't buy anyone now

Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo admits Pau Cubarsi reminds him of former teammate Gerard Pique.

Victory at Celta Vigo marked Araujo's 100th LaLiga game for the club.

Asked about Cubarsi, he said: "I learned from Gery (Pique). He wasn't fast, but he was intelligent. He was always well-positioned, he gave you instructions technically. He reminds me of Cubarsi.

"He is very intelligent, he has incredible talent. His quality when coming out with the ball, the intelligence of being well positioned... we have to take care of him because he is a club talent for many years to come."

Araujo also said: "The boys have incredible talent and character. That's why the coach puts them in. We should not underestimate them. Football has changed, young people come with energy. They are tremendous.

'They are not afraid, they put their leg in, if you hit them they get up and they continue, they face... they are prepared, and even more so knowing the situation of the club.

"Thank God they come out young because financially we cannot do more things."
