Barcelona coach Xavi is unsure about signing Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo this week.

Cancelo is prioritising a move to Barca before the summer market shuts.

However, Xavi knows that it will be difficult to close deal due to Financial Fair Play concerns.

"Now must we see," he said. "The board and the sporting director know what I think the team needs.

"But we are dependent on our unfortunate financial situation and the salary cap. There are still a few days left, and then we'll have to see."
