Barcelona coach Xavi has hailed the current form of Ferran Torres.

Xavi has revealed he's spoken to Torres about his improvement this season.

Ahead of the weekend clash with Real Betis, Xavi said: "I told him yesterday: what he has overcome has a lot of merit.

"They have laughed at him. He has turned the tables by himself. He has spectacular mental strength. He is an example even for the squad. He has earned it: he will be important."

Xavi was also asked about Athletico Paranaense striker Vitor Roque, who is now a Barca player.

He added: "Deco has told me that he will arrive in January. Now he is not here. We will see where we are in January. It makes no sense to talk about him now."
