Barcelona coach Xavi hailed the performance of Raphinha after their victory over New York Red Bulls.

Raphinha was outstanding for the 2-0 win with Ousmane Dembele and Memphs Depay getting the goals.

Xavi said of the signing from Leeds United: "He is a spectacular signing for Barça.

"Not only for this season, but for the next few years.

"He associates well, he centres well, he goes in front of goal, he has a goal, also from set pieces and above all, the hunger he has.

"He is a wonderful signing."
