Barcelona coach Koeman willing to work with Suarez; happy with friendly win

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman says he's prepared to work with Luis Suarez.

Suarez was told early in the Dutchman's time at the club that he had no place in his plans, but complications have arisen in his proposed move to Italy, leading to uncertainty about his future.

"I was talking with Luis this morning," Koeman said on Wednesday evening, immediately after Barcelona's 3-1 defeat of Girona.

"We'll wait and see if there's a way out for him or not.

"But we respect contracts and from day one we've said that if he's part of the squad then he'll be another player for us."

Francisco Trincao and Ronald Araujo both impressed on Wednesday and look to have a significant role under Koeman, but he was keen to point to other impressive youngsters.

"We know that we have very good young players," he added.

"The important thing is that they take part in training and in friendly matches.

"If I had to highlight one young player I'd say Konrad [de la Fuente], but Pedri and Riqui [Puig] also have big futures ahead of them."
