Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman was delighted seeing Philippe Coutinho score in Sunday's victory over Valencia.
Coutinho struck his first goal of the season in the 3-1 win, a triumph for him and Koeman, who has always insisted Barca keep hold of the Brazilian.
At today's Champions League presser, Koeman said: "Philippe hasn't played for a long time, and he has to take minutes to pick up his rhythm. We know his quality and he has competition. But yes, he is an important player for the next matches."
The Barca coach also was asked about new contract talks for Ansu Fati.
He added: "All I know is that the renovation is near and it is very important news. He has quality and has to mark the future of this club."
