Barcelona coach Guardiola rejects Real Betis bid for Cristian Tello

Barcelona have turned down an approach from Real Betis for attacker Cristian Tello.

Estadio Deportivo says Betis were willing to bid big to sign the Barca B striker outright, but was given short shrift by coach Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola rates Tello highly and can see him progressing to the senior team.

Indeed, the youngster could see more action in the second-half of this season following the injuries to attacking pair David Villa and Ibrahim Afellay.
