Barcelona sports chief Deco says Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix are both straight loans.

Manchester City fullback Cancelo and Atletico Madrid attacker Felix joined Barca on deadline day.

Deco said: "Neither Cancelo nor Joao Félix have a purchase option.

"They arrived with a simple loan and if they go well we will try to keep them. An opportunity presented itself and we took advantage of it. They arrived almost to the last minute and they will give more balance to the squad but they have to prove that they can stay there, then we will give a grade to their season.

"We know the effort they have made to be with us."
