Barcelona chief Ariedo Braida is tightlipped over interest in Juventus coach Max Allegri.

Braida is one of the most sought-after tacticians in Europe and has been linked to the role, along with coaches such as Jorge Sampaoli, Ernesto Valverde, Eusebio Sacristan and Laurent Blanc.

"Allegri is a friend, but the search for the next coach is a top secret topic and can't be discussed," Braida told Italy's Rai Uno channel when asked about the soon-to-be vacant role.

"The decision was confirmed now, which is well in advance, so that there would be plenty of time to pick the successor."

Braida was also full of praise for the outgoing Barcelona coach, pointing to what he has achieved since taking over in 2014 and promising that Luis Enrique would be successful wherever he goes next.

"No one knows who will be Luis Enrique's successor, but I can only say great things about what he has done," the transfer guru said.

"He has proven to be a great coach and will demonstrate it elsewhere."
