Barcelona coach Luis Enrique was pleased for matchwinner Thomas Vermaelen after victory over Malaga.

Vermaelen struck the only goal of the game.

“When we signed Vermaelen, we already knew that he is a top-level player. He's still not 100 per cent, but he gave a lot to the team tonight.

"Strategy is the key. He's got a lot of personality and knows what he's doing. I'm delighted that he's been called up by his national team; it will be good for him and a chance to work on his fitness," said the coach.
