Barcelona board agree to offer Xavi new deal

Xavi is set to be offered a new contract by Barcelona.

El Mundo Deportivo says Barca's board have agreed to table Xavi an improved - and extended - new contract offer.

There is a commitment from the board to begin negotiations with Xavi's minders next month.
