Bannan will get on with it says Villa's McLeish

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is confident that young midfielder Barry Bannan will get on with the job at hand despite his alleged drink-driving incident.

The 21-year old Scotland international was suspended by Villa for last week's meeting with Sunderland but is back in the fray for tomorrow's visit of Norwich City and McLeish believes he will not let it affect his performance.

"We have suspended the investigation and Barry is back in the fold, he's in the squad," McLeish said.

"We have welcomed him back into the squad so I don't see any need to punish him further.

"Listen, he's made a mistake and it's a bad one, and he will learn from that.

"He is able to join us again for full training and get on with his life again of playing football."
