Real Madrid are pondering a shock swoop for Liverpool whizkid Ben Woodburn.

Don Balon says Real star Gareth Bale has told president Florentino Perez to snap up Woodburn.

The teen was called up to the Wales national squad by Chris Coleman.

And the 17-year-old sensation was on the bench for the goalless World Cup qualifier against Republic of Ireland this week.

Don Balon reports Bale is highly impressed by the Anfield starlet and thinks he can be a long-term heir to Cristiano Ronaldo.

It's suggested he's informed Perez to raid the Reds for his signature.

The 17-year-old academy graduate became Liverpool's youngster ever goalscorer after finding the net against Leeds in the quarter-final of the EFL Cup earlier this season.
