Tottenham are expected to rest Gareth Bale for Saturday's meeting with Wigan Athletic.
The star winger has been in and out of the team in recent weeks with a back-related hamstring strain but is likely to be given the weekend and the days surrounding to get up for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said he wasn't 100% sure if Bale would play against the Latics but was leaning toward leaving him out so he can be available to take on Los Blancos in the Spanish capital.
"Gareth worked with the fitness coaches and he looked OK this morning," he added. "Whether he is OK to play two games this weekend is doubtful," he said.
"We will have a look at that tomorrow and decide which way to go with it.
"We are going to leave it late. We'd love to have him fit but if he isn't fit then we can't play him."
