Tottenham winger Gareth Bale admits he's surprised by the support for football and Spurs in New York.
Over the weekend, almost 500 fans queued in the rain to meet Bale, Younes Kaboul, Roman Pavlyuchenko and legendary midfielder and club ambassador Ossie Ardiles at a Puma signing at Upper 90 Sport and Soccer, 94th Street, Manhattan.
"It was a fantastic turn-out," Bale told the Spurs website. "I've got to say I didn't expect so many fans to be here.
"It was great to meet them and give something back to them.
"I've been surprised with the interest in the level of support for football in America. They have major sports over here like baseball, American Football and basketball, but clearly football is well supported as well."
