Amido Balde believes he is more than capable of helping Celtic in the Champions League against the likes of Barcelona, Ajax and AC Milan.
The 22-year old Portuguese striker has been on the bench for recent European fixtures against Barca and Ajax but feels he is developing quickly enough to play a part the next time the Glasgow giants compete in the top echelon of club football in the region.
"Yes, I could play. I never doubt myself and that's why I am here, working every day," said Balde of his ability to do well in the Champions League.
"I'm not one of those players who is going to give up easily. I'm motivated here - I want to play against Barca, I want to play against Ajax next week.
"I was paying a lot of attention when I was a sub in Europe because if you are given the chance to come on you have to fit in immediately."
He added: "I'm sure I'll grow quickly and I'm not going to let the manager down. This is a huge club, you can see that from how we play in the Champions League."
