Australia star Tim Cahill knows he will be a marked man once the World Cup proper starts.
The Everton attacking midfielder has already received close attention from both New Zealand and Denmark in warm-up matches recently and expects things to get tougher when the Socceroos take on Germany, Serbia and Ghana beginning in just over a week.
But Cahill says that using a few smarts and having his teammates rise to occasion will help his game turn around.
''I'm expecting to be a marked man, it's just about me being a bit more cute,'' he said.
''The thing is, I was in some good places [against Denmark], so it's about trying to make the ball flow quickly, working on making sure I'm fit and trying to be consistent.
"As I said, I'm expecting to be a marked man, but that's the case for a lot of us. The more we've got people getting the ball, wanting it, the easier it will be for me.''
