La Stampa says an Australian businessman has been in touch with Genoa to discuss a takeover.

Genoa patron Enrico Preziosi, it is claimed, is delaying their next coaching appointment as he wants to see how negotiations with his Aussie interest develops.

The Australian is identified as a business 'magnate', suggesting a mining interest.
