Fabio Aurelio wants to stay with Liverpool and fight for a first team return.
Fullback Aurelio completed the entire 90 minutes against Aston Villa on Sunday, and he's looking forward to being part of a bright future at Anfield.
"Liverpool always try to keep their squad as strong as possible and it's always good to have competition," the 31-year-old told liverpoolfc.tv.
"If it's for the good of the team I'll welcome whoever comes in. My worries are about myself and making sure I'm fit and available. I believe I have the right ability to fight for a place in the team.
"I expect to be available more next season than I was this season. If I am then I will have the chance to play more minutes.
"It was good to finish with 90 minutes at Villa and that will bring confidence. I still believe I'm capable of doing a good job."
