Atletico Madrid are ready to firm up their long-term interest in Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.
L'Equipe says the Chelsea striker, 24, is also wanted back at Borussia Dortmund after an impressive stint on loan with the Bundesliga giants.
But Atletico have now expressed an interest with Andrea Berta, the Europa League winners' sporting director, having tracked Batshuayi since he was at Marseille.
Chelsea are said to be against a sale of the Belgian but open to sending him out on loan for another season – with Valencia another suitor who could seal a loan with an option to buy.
Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud were ahead of Batshuayi last term under Antonio Conte.
But new boss Maurizio Sarri may have a different outlook and the Italian will have the final say on Batshuayi's short-term future.
