Atletico Madrid are threatening Barcelona's plans for Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

It emerged last week that Azpilicueta has committed to join Barca at the end of the season when his deal with Chelsea expires.

However, AS says Atletico are ready to make an offer for the 32 year-old to sign him this month.

Atletico want Azpilicueta immediately as they prepare to lose Kieran Trippier to Newcastle United in the coming days.

For their part, Chelsea could be willing to sell their captain rather than lose him for nothing in June.
