Atletico Madrid record-breaker Koke: I'd like to retire here

Atletico Madrid captain Koke admits he'd like to eventually retire with the club.

Koke will make history this Saturday in Seville. When the rojiblancos match begins at Pizjuán, he will have become the footballer who has worn the Atlético shirt the most times - 554 matches - beating Adelardo who held the record for 47 years.

The midfielder said: "These are situations and moments of a lot of work and a lot of sacrifice and it is a pride to be able to reach that figure and hopefully there will be much more.

“My idea has always been to retire here but we'll see what happens when my contract ends. I have two years left, this and another, and my idea is to continue here. I don't know what will happen, what has to come, is welcome."
