Atletico Madrid are lining up a bid for Sao Paulo starlet Lucas.
The Brazil U20 international impressed Atletico sports chief Jesus Garcia Pitarch in the South American Championships last month in Peru.
Sao Paulo knew European scouts were buzzing after seeing Lucas in action in Peru and moved quickly to tie him to a new deal.
The midfielder is now contracted to Sao Paulo until 2015, with a buyout clause of €80 million.
