Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has offered a place in his squad to Leo Messi.

Well aware of Messi's anger over the departure from Barcelona of new Atletico signing Luis Suarez, Cerezo has offered to set up a reunion for the Argentine.

Cerezo declared on El Partidazo: "In life, if you want ... If Leo Messi wants to play with Luis Suarez, I say the same thing as with nougat: 'It's coming home for Christmas'.

"With hope, anything is possible!"

Suarez enjoyed a perfect debut for Atletico on Sunday, scoring twice in their 6-1 rout of Granada.
