Atletico Madrid president Cerezo lays out Inter Milan plans; discusses Lautaro attempt

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says they face Inter Milan tonight full of confidence.

Atletico are in Milan tonight for the first-leg of their Champions League round 16 tie.

Cerezo said: "Lautaro (Martinez, Inter captain) a great player, he was very close to Atlético and we wish him luck. He did not want to come to us, but we know that he is a great footballer.

“We are not playing half the season either here or against Almería. We want to do well in LaLiga, in the Champions League and also in the Copa."

Asked about a result, the president said, “Anything other than losing. We have to achieve a good result to finish the job in Madrid."

He also spoke about Marcos Llorente's new striker role: “I remember that we also faced a great English team and we left them out of the competition. The coaches know what they have to do."
