Atletico Madrid are new favourites to land Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku. The Daily Star says Chelsea's London rivals West Ham United have been knocked back in their attempts to bring the player to Upton Park, with reports this morning suggesting Chelsea have turned down a loan approach for the 21-year-old.
The reports also suggest Atletico Madrid's offer for Lukaku is vastly superior to any other deal on the table.
A switch to the La Liga champions has been strongly mooted, with Atleti striker Diego Costa set for a £32m move to Chelsea this summer.
