Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo de Paul has rejected an offer from Al Ahli.

The Saudi Pro League club has offered De Paul a three-year deal worth €15m-a-season. He is currently on €3.5m-a-year at Atletico.

But Mundo Deportivo says De Paul has turned down the move.

Al Ahli also offered €35m to Atletico for the Argentina midfielder, but was referred to De Paul's €80m buyout clause.

The Saudis could yet return with an improved bid in the coming days.
