Atletico Madrid have agreed with Rodrigo Riquelme's agents that there will be no more loans for the midfielder.
AS says it's been decided Riquelme will either stay with Atletico this season or be sold.
After last season's impressive loan with Girona, Riquelme has attracted enquiries from Manchester City. Real Betis also interested, where they see him as a replacement for Monterrey-bound Sergio Canales.
For his part, coach Diego Simeone has made it clear how highly he regards Riquelme.
And unless a good offer arrives, Riquelme has been assured he is part of Atletico's first team plans for the new campaign.
