Atletico Madrid have made a new offer for Benfica captain Simao Sabrosa.
Atletico, desperate to land a new winger, have bid £10 million cash plus Portugal international midfielder Costinha in exchange for Simao.
Benfica rate Simao in the £17 million class and the club's board were last night discussing Atletico's latest proposal.
