Atletico Madrid have reportedly joined the chase for Liverpool's Christian Benteke.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Spanish club are showing interest in the Belgian striker who has struggled in his first season at Anfield.

Italian champions Juventus and ambitious Premier League improvers West Ham United are also eyeing the former Aston Villa star but Atletico are set to make their presence felt in the race for his signature.

Diego Simeone's side are eager for a quality frontman after losing Diego Costa to Chelsea two seasons ago and could make a play for the 25-year-old this summer.

It is also understood that Liverpool are keen on Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes and could quite possibly offer Benteke to the Italians in a bid to land Argentine.
